International Festival of Intuitive Arts

The festival is a parade of intuitive arts, a triumph of conscious improvisation and artistic trance.

It is a unique event in Poland and in the world. During the festival, which is usually held in May (in 2010 it celebrated its 20^th anniversary), art which exceeds the traditional division into theatre, music and fine arts.  Visitors and residents, who happen to be in Zamość Old Town or somewhere near the places where performance takes place, enter a world which constitutes a ritual combination of different modes of artistic expression. It is a unique experience.

For many years The Performer Theatre and artistic couple of Bożena and Paweł Dudziński with their children have been the driving force of the event. Their eldest son is Sambor Dudziński, a well-known artist. The Dudziński family invite outstanding artists from all over the world to Zamość every year. These artists cannot be assigned to one category only; they exceed theatre, music and visual arts, aiming for a synthesis of arts on the plane of their own intuition. 

The artists claim that the old fortification walls of Zamość combined with  unique, intuitive art give them exceptional creative powers.
