Zamojski Festiwal Kultur

It is one of the most important events in the calendar of cultural events organised in Zamość and consists of a series of concerts which have taken place in September since 2007. The event is to commemorate the outstanding singer, who was born in Zamość. His songs as well as songs of other authors dedicated to him are sung during concerts and the singer is remembered with affection. In spite of the fact that every year the festival is devoted to a different kind of music, the outstanding native of the place is the inspiration for the event.

During a three-day festival famous singers and actors give their performances in front of the Town Hall in Zamość. Such celebrities as  Hanna Banaszak, Ewa Bem, Zbigniew Górny, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Stanisław Sojka, Sambor Dudziński, Magda Umer, Andrzej Sikorowski, Jakub Badach, Krystyna Prońko, Anna Serafińska, Elżbieta Adamiak, Zakopower, Beata Rybotycka and Katarzyna Zielińska have participated in the festival. Next to them also young singers, who are the laureates of The Marek Grechuta Polish Song Contest, give their performances every year.
