The Park Miejski in Zamość belongs to the most beautiful municipal parks in Poland. Made between 1922 and 1927 it was designed by Walerian Kronenberg, who skillfully incorporated elements of fortress fortifications in his design. It is thanks to the former Bastion No. 4, the retrenchment, the counterguard, remnants of defensive walls and of the former moat that the park is so picturesque. The main avenue of the park leads to the tip of a former ravelin, on both sides of which escarpments of both faces of the entrenchment are clearly visible. The park island is a former counterguard and the highest hill is former Bastion No. 4 and the retrenchment. The park looks beautiful all year round and in summer visitors can also take boat trips on the pond or britzka rides along park avenues.
